The OLW team at Ti Tree, led by Betsy Mpetyan Presley and Eileen Pwerrerl Campbell, are working on the Baby Board Book project, to create books for babies in Anmatyerr and Warlpiri.

The Ti Tree books focus on a story about a baby’s first year, from new born to walking.

The Baby Board Book project is a collaboration between NT Library and CALL and is funded by Families as First Teachers.

The next workshop is a combined Art and Language workshop, to develop the illustrations for the books.

We are lucky to have the fabulous Jenny Taylor working with the team, delivering units from the Certificate of ATSI Cultural Arts. And it’s really great when organisations work together on projects that support language and early literacy.
